Good Friday

Hope everyone had a nice Good Friday! This day we call Good Friday is special, because it is the day we remember, when Christ died for us. Why is that good? Isn’t it depressing to think about our Savior dying? It is good! It is very good to think about that day of crucifixion. On that day, by the blood and death of Jesus Christ the world was saved from eternal death! What a good – what a beautiful day! I am well aware that I am undeserving of that day, but that was the ultimate love that I, no WE, have been given! I watched the Passion of the Christ with some friends last night. I forgot how powerful that film was. It broke me to see a picture of the torture and pain Jesus went through so willingly that we might be free from the power of sin and death! O the depths of His love and grace! I can not fathom the depths of it!

I look forward to the day, when I can really place my hands in the nail scarred hands!

It was my sin which held him there. For this, for me, it was accomplished!

Luke 23:46 Then Jesus, calling out with a loud voice, said, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!” And having said this he breathed his last.
